Resume Crafters are experts at crafting KSA's. We have written Federal Resumes that target over 120 job industries.  Each KSA we write responds to a question telling a story about your experience that contains anecdotes and important key words that demonstrate you have the right amount of experience and qualifications to get the job.

Too busy to write KSAs ? We can save you time by editing  and formatting them for you. During our consultation,  we review your KSAs and ask you questions to expand the meaning of each KSA. We can assist you in editing them to summarize accomplishments, work experience, strengths, and training.

KSA's, (knowledge, skill and ability) questions  require answers about specialized experience that you've had that will allow you complete for a Federal position.

A typical  KSA is between a half or full page in length.   Applicants can apply for an individual opening that is announced on www.usajobs.opm.gov or on individual agency web sites. Often entry level job descriptions do not require KSAs; however, higher level positions do.

It is important to be concise when writing your work descriptions, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAOs), Occupational Questionnaires (OQs), and Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) statements.  The government evaluates each candidate on his or her ability to perform the duties of a job.  Even though you may have years of experience, the inability to express yourself can result in a lower score and reduce your chance for an interview.  If your application or resume doesn’t include all the information requested in the job vacancy announcement, your application may be rejected.  Below is a example of an answer to a KSA.
